Dev Log 1 - Sem 2 - Pre-Production
Our team started this semester by reviewing work from the previous semester and seeing the workload this semester so we could better move around dates for milestones and when tasks were supposed to be finished on the schedule. During our first group meeting outside of class, we answered some questions we still had from last semester and began to discuss some mechanics and items we wanted the player to experience during our first playtest and when we will hopefully want to have the first round of playtests fully finished.
As the lead programmer, I discussed with each lead in the group of what special tools and mechanics will need to be made for the final build along with for this upcoming playtest. I have completed a solid prototype during last semester which gives my team a strong base to build off of. For the upcoming playtest report I will be using this upcoming week to prepare a build to send to the playtester and begin work on tools my team can use to implement whatever they need with ease

Crazy you guys already have a playable prototype. It will aid a lot in development.
Damn stand proud, that's crazy. :)
nah fr tho, it's sick you went back to the previous semester to answer some unanswered questiones to ur game, we did da same thing, ya know. It's great that you had a solid protoyte ready for submission
It's nice to know that we aren't the only team reviewing and refreshing - shifting workloads and deadlines to fit our new schedules is important for consideration. Has your team thought of what you want to learn from your playtest? A script or checklist could be a good basis to identify just exactly what you want done and tested for your build, especially since you already have a prototype.
